about

This album is dedicated to peace and the lack thereof.

Lately I can’t decide if I want to turn off or stretch my arms out, grasp, and bring everything as close to my chest as physically possible. I feel like I’m waiting for a big mistake that has already happened to come barreling tardy and fall through my fingers like water, making me deservedly wet. I want everything and nothing at all. At once. To press in on both sides and feel the walls against my cheeks. Unbare, and not bare.

The cover artwork is a finger painting my grandfather on my mother's side created in 2015. His name is Ron Berger, and he is one soul of far too many that suffer from Alzheimer's. And although he may not remember me, my mother chose this out of several and gifted this to me through him.
